Moubar Vintage, Bathurst

Moubar Vintage is Bathurst’s courtyard hole‑in‑the‑wall coffee spot – a walk‑up window pouring Single O coffee in the vine‑covered Brooke Moore Centre courtyard. It has that tucked‑away, leafy feel that gives you a little Melbourne moment without ever feeling out of the way.

The open courtyard – the vines, the morning light, the steady flow of people – gives Moubar its rhythm. It’s relaxed, familiar, and the kind of spot you naturally fold into your day. They first served coffee from a 1950s‑style van around town, and still roll it out for events and pop‑ups.

Nic, owner and tops bloke, shared with us how Moubar Vintage began:

“I’d always wanted to run my own bar, so I had a caravan custom‑built as a mobile bar to make it happen. Mobile bar became Moubar – I added the ‘u’ and the moustache logo added as a twist – and that’s how the name landed.”

That same friendly, easy energy carried straight into the courtyard window, where Nic remembers your name, your order, and makes the whole thing feel personal without trying.

Why we love it

Moubar Vintage is effortless and personal. Great coffee, quick service, delicious pastries and sourdoughs that sell out fast, and that small moment of being recognised – the “your usual?” magic – that lifts your morning before the day even starts.
